Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2016: Year of the Blessing
The crazy world of a Christian…

    Shalom!

The world of a Christian is a crazy world where down is up, up is down, weakness is strength, strength is weakness, to lose is gain and to gain is to lose.

It occurred to me yesterday as I was reading and studying my bible that by deepening my relationship to God He would help me soar to new spiritual heights. The deeper I went the higher I soared. “But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31, NLT)

Back in the early 1980’s I was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis a disease that temporarily weakens the muscles. It did not take me long to discover when I leaned on God I had the strength to keep a positive attitude. In my weakness I discovered God’s strength. “Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.” (2 Corinthians 12:8–9, NLT)

“I want to give my life to God,” I am not sure what year I stood in church on a Wednesday night and said those exact words but I think it was around 1979. I couldn’t really hear God but I know He accepted my offer. I believe when you give (lose) you’re your life to Jesus you gain an eternal resting place in God. “Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father and will judge all people according to their deeds.” (Matthew 16:24–27, NLT)

There are those who will tell you the world of a Christian is upside down however according to the book of Acts it is Christians (Paul and Silas) who turned the world that is upside down! “When they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some of the brothers before the city officials, shouting, “These men who have turned the world upside down have come here too,” (Acts 17:6, HCSB) Therefore if you are a Christian your world is right side up it is the rest of the world that is upside down

Believe in presence of the GOD and in the strength of his GRACE!
    GRACE and PEACE,
    Gary
