This 'revival" sounds oddly like DDW's rules for monthly staff training.
"The road goes ever on and on, down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the road has gone and I must follow if I can. Pursuing it with eager feet until it joins some larger way, where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say." - Tolkien

I called Rayado a few weeks ago because I read in the paper that he was coming to Charlotte to start a fire of revival. (I was at work and he was here at our place.)
We both agreed to get out asbestos.

Yes. This is the kind of freaky stuff Jardin was talking about. Oh and one the newest things is that you have to pray against the viper demon.

Re: Lakeland Revival? My rear end it is....
There's alot of youtube videos about this guy.........I dare any of you to dropkick your pastor and say it will cause revival. Good luck explaining that to the police.

Re: Lakeland Revival? My rear end it is....
You know, mossrose, it also struck me as odd that he hadn't been charged, so I googled the story every way I could think of, but found nothing from someone saying, "She was my aunt/mother/grandmother/sister/sunday school teacher." There's no blogs by people in the congregation those nights, no one saying that it was their pastor who got leg-dropped. Not one of those people seem to have been written about on the internet. Strange, huh?

The more Youtube videos I watch of this guy, the stranger he seems. I'm convinced something is very wrong with this movement.

Re: Lakeland Revival? My rear end it is....
I have several friends in my church that have went to it. My roommate who is also a part of my church was going to go to it, but was told by his pastor in his home town that were issues there. He asked me about it, and I already knew it was screwy based on this blog below.
http://thegreycoats.wordpress.com
They post about what's wrong with it and the modern prophetic movement. They also have started refuting the work of the revival's apologist, Dr. Greig. Now, we're working on getting our pastor to expose this, and things look like they're heading in that direction. :) It's a problem too, because several of the people that are okay with it are bible study leaders in our church. This thing drives me nuts, and it all makes me sad sometimes.

Re: Lakeland Revival? My rear end it is....
I found the clip on youtube and watched it. But it starts with the part Hanagraaf quotes. I'm thinking this must have been set up as some sort of joke but we're not seeing or hearing the set up. There's no other video or anything like that of anything so violent.
The revival stuff is crap, to be sure, but this violence charge I'm not sure about."Yes, I'm quite concerned about health care issues surrounding leaked radiation from Japan. Now, please pass me my super sized, bacon double cheeseburger, combo meal..."
When I was young I admired clever people. Now that I'm older I admire kind people.~Rabbi Abraham Heschel
My most recent faith struggle is not one of intellect. I don't really do that anymore. Sooner or later you just figure out there are some guys who don't believe in God and they can prove He doesn't exist, and some other guys who can prove He does exist, and the argument stopped being about God a long time ago and now it's about who is smarter, and honestly, I don't care. ~ Don Miller Blue Like Jazz
