Didn't mean to pick you out, I just get the impression that many are going for the 'not hillary' ticket, opposed to the pro trump one. As you seemed to not fit into that category, I thought I'd ask.

If this is referring to me posting this thread, this would be inapplicable, because I expressly said earlier in the thread that Hillary was in the wrong in what she did.

Even assuming Russia did have them, wouldn't it be an additional harm to release them to the public? Russian interests having them would be bad enough. ISIS having access to them on top of that would be even worse.

Since Hillary was keeping all her emails on a private unprotected server, what makes you think ISIS doesn't have them? Because of Hillary, the whole world that wanted them likely already has them.

It's one of those catch 22's. If the emails showed that Clinton should be inside a jail rather than the Whitehouse, is it better for them to be released, or should we prevent others from having them and settle for her being in the Whitehouse

Besides, Trump never said he wanted the emails released publicly. If one were to give Trump the benefit of the doubt, it could be inferred that he simply wants them released back into the custody of the US government.

I don't think that complaint has validity. Assange and Snowden had basically zero influence, and were just passionate people talking about international spying. Dotcom is a resident with a very valid interest in not being seized and taken to another country because corrupt multinationals in that country are annoyed by his businesses.

The real sabotage in our elections has been the national party's last-second lies about the labour party. They've developed a habit of coming up with a slander of labour just before the election. In one election they came up with the idea that Phil Goff had lied about whether he'd been briefed, and rushed through an IOA request that produced fake information purporting to prove he'd lied. In another election one of their big Asian donors purgered himself in a signed statement lying about him giving huge amounts of money to the labour party. They keep coming up with last-second pre-election slanders of labour that are effective enough to push them over the top. It's absolutely disgusting. They are the party of horrible lying disgusting corrupt cheaters. It's a pity that the party member who leaked the Cameron Slater dirty politics scandal to try to clean up his party and expel the corruption, didn't succeed.

                    • I wasn't aware that dumb comments counted as treason. I think both Ms. Clinton and Mr. Trump are incompetent/jerks/(insert adjectives for why I don't see them as suitable for being elected President). Can we please have any decent applicants?!

That's stretching things rather a lot, IMO. The other emails were released publicly; the fairly obvious inference, to the extent he wasn't being sarcastic, is that they should be released to the public.

Yes, and as I explained earlier, there's a difference between careless actions and intentional actions.

Yeah, I doubt that. Kinda a silly one to bother with - right now, I'd leave the Dem convention alone and let it implode with everyone watching.

An "intentional action" would require that Trump actually thought about what he said before it popped out of his mouth.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

The thought of him in charge of the nuclear trigger makes me nervous.
