Okay, so one of the things I've been really curious about lately and haven't had much luck figuring out is the justifications for early and late dates for various books in the NT. So far the main thing I've figured out is that conservative theologians have them all written by like 90 AD (or something close to that), while liberal theologians date some of them as late as 200.

What I'd like to know is, when do you think they were written, why, and where can I get some good research material about it (that I don't have to pay for).

Going off on a tangent with that, I'd also like to know what you think of higher criticism. I know a lot of more conservative Christians don't like it, but a rather cursory look at it made it seem to me like something very healthy to continue our growth as Christians...
