Seriously! I originally thought her name was "candle sand fish." I got a great image of a romantic evening at the shore!

Yes, I figured it out

Everyone thinks that about my name, it's funny! But Adrift - you teasing me about that has nothing on the jokes I get about my real name - my Christian one and my legal one, for that matter.
Candles and fish. Candles for prayers in Church, fish for Christ - or at least that's the short summary of why the name.

Re: Banners Made Here
Kyriaki is my Christian name - the name I was baptised with. I'm rather fond of it, yes. It literally means 'belonging to the Lord' but it's also the Greek word for Sunday (and interestingly enough, Nicole Kidman's "Sunday Rose" was born on her feast day, HMMMM) so I get enough jokes about that.
My parents named me (and my legal name is still) Kyrie-Eleison. I'm Orthodox. At a Greek speaking Church. No explanation needed. I'm just thankful that they all have to call me Kyriaki now and can't make those jokes anymore!
