Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

I am a fan of tea. Bellini tea from Olive Garden is great. I also enjoy COLD milk with chocolate. The tea I drink right now is not so tasty.

hmmm, perhaps people would associate healthy fast food as expensive veggie burgers with not much flavor. I think a few mom and pop restaurants have tried this and with not much success. they have to compete with the big chains who sell the much loved processed and greasy food. if they thought veggie burgers tasted great the idea would probably take off.
Fast food restaurants also offer healthy choices...salad vs. burger. grilled vs. fried chicken etc...although there is in fact no exclusively healthy franchise as your question states. [talk about dancing around a question!]
In what way can you see intelligence in someones eyes?

Re: Answer a Question / Ask a Question
(The problem with health food offerings, when the DO show up, is they are generally double or triple priced. Not because people can't enjoy them.)
I don't tend to see intelligence in the eyes, but sincerity is often discerned. I can tell when people ask useless questions and really don't care about the answers, they just want small talk. Because of this, I'm not much of a conversationalist, because I feel most people really don't care about the exchange and do it just as a pleasantry.

i thought i mentioned price ?!?!? i think that's the biggest factor, why are healthier foods more expensive if it is less processed?? anyhow, i think you can discern intelligence by the direct look someone gives you, i can't describe it too well, but sometimes people look at you with a look that says "even though what you're saying shouldn't be hard to understand, i'm having a hard time grasping it" type of look, like they're lost. Ofcourse many factors come into play here, they could be having an off day or they're tired but for the most part when people you're dealing with on a daily basis {i.e at work} have these tendencies which extend to their speech, your first impression based on their eyes would have been accurate. On the other hand, there are some folks you speak to that look at you sharply and directly like they understand what you're saying and if not they can at least follow your train of thought and ask you pertinent questions relating to the topic at hand. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, it would take a real effort to attempt to "hide" your emotions from being expressed through your eyes. Sometimes I smile at my manager and hold a conversation and all the while i'm trying to for my smile to reach my eyes b/c I know that he notices somethings not genuine.

yeah, lately this has been me. when i ask useless questions it's b/c my mind is on boredom overload and i need to log off and do something else until i get inquisitive again.
yeah that picture is me, i have another one floating in cyberspace but only Beren's seen it [from my other forum]
do you often get tired of pleasantries?

Re: Answer a Question / Ask a Question
I don't get tired of pleasntries because I think in a few decades what passes for idle pleasantries today will seem quaint. Then I'll be a quaint old lady.
Anyway, they are just little devices to acknowledge people. They aren't really malicious.
