      Father of My Father

I had a lot to think about this week. Monday, my grandfather who was wrestling with stomach cancer has gone to rest in the Lord.

For as long as I thought I knew what Christianity was, I thought it was a lifestyle. I set of beliefs and pat-answers you give to people in cases of criticism.

As I saw my grandfather make the transition from life to death, I realized that if Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God, I will have to devote every part of my life to Him. Furthermore, I would have to trust in His hands, and lay by His feet the life of my loved ones. My family, my friends.

Truths (And falsehoods if that's your persuasion) of the Bible will have to ring out into everything I ever do or think.

The thing is, People die. They really die, go into eternity. Heaven, Hell, Eternal Life or Death for the ceaseless ages of time. I am convicted that this Man, Yeshu the Nazarene was who He was. He is the Christ, the Messiah, the Compassionate Redeemer. The Very Word. And I ask that He prove Himself to me, for I am searching with all of my heart.

Theology is great, and I love it. But we are a peculiar people founded upon the message of Love of God of Truth and Grace. And I think we should remember that.
