Re: On the Demolition of 50 Pounds: Or, the Skeptics Lose Another Argument Against Me
Ah, I see!
Curtmudgeon, you must realize that about 75% of what I type is rubbish. I'm not offended in any way.
I just felt embarrassed that I didn't know something about jennifer80560 or whatever, that JPH appearantly knew about.
Edit: Aaand now I see that "jennifer" is gone! Great, I fell for a program, didn't I?
People aren't moral and rational because some sort of religion or atheism has automatically put that moral or rational thinking in them; people are moral and rational because they are the image of a loving and wise God.

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

I had a "lebanese vegetable soup" at a campus café yesterday, and it was absolutely delicious with warming heat. If I can find the recipe I'll send it over. Hopefully in time for winter!

Re: On the Demolition of 50 Pounds: Or, the Skeptics Lose Another Argument Against Me
I've been keeping "maintenance" level until such time as I got back some test results, and there's some good news. I've managed to knock my triglycerides down to a much lower level (about 20 points lower), and my "good" cholesterol is up 7 points. Unfortunately, my "bad" cholesterol remains unchanged, and I'm being told by a physician that this may mean it is a heredity issue. It may just be my normal level, especially since my BP remains excellent.
Even so I'll be trying a few things to knock down that LDL -- such as pinhead oats for breakfast (after I get done with the pinhead Skeptics).

JPH, do you feel better now that you are as fit as Chuck Norris?

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'
