Re: So who broke our economy?
Bingo.
Democrats blame Bush and CEOs, when several of their own were neck deep in it. At least Bush and McCain made efforts to prevent the crisis from happening.
But the only deserve part of the blame. It would be political suicide to say it outright, but part of the blame go to the American people. Specifically, it goes to these people who got themselves into this mess in the first place by applying for loans they should have known they couldn't afford.Living so free is a tragedy

Re: So who broke our economy?
From all the research that I have done lately, it is my opinion that the bankers and politicians who have been their henchmen in our society are to blame for most of the problems with our economy. Bankers and politicians have often pushed for a fiat currency and a central bank which always resulted in inflation and booms and busts in our economy. Another problem in the banking industry is the fraud of fractional reserve banking. Wait till our government declares a bank holiday and see how safe our money really is in the banks. Fiat Currency, Fractional Reserve banking and the creation of the greatest of all frauds, the central banking system called the Federal Reserve are the source of 99% of our economic problems. It is critical, im opinion, that the American people gain an understanding of how this banking system came about and the evils that have been thrust upon us by conspiring men. I learned about this from reading the book, The Creature From Jekyll Island, A Second Look at the Federal Reserve, by G. Edward Griffin. Also a really good source is from the writings of economist Murray N. Rothbard at the following link: " The Case Against the Fed " and A History of Money and Banking in the United States. Without giving a long and elaborate explanation of why our banking system is a problem, I recommend these readings.

"The love of money is the root of all evil." Not the root of some or even a lot of evil; the root of ALL evil. This is an irrefutable scriptural truth. So when you have such vast amounts of money involved with men going out of their way to position themselves to preserve that money because they're driven by their love of it, you're going to have vast amounts of all evil involved. Pretty simple equation.
