Voted for Snake Eater on the basis of story and what was done on the hardware available. Not even the horrible 'patch yourself up' mechanics can knock it off #1 for me.

I've only played MGS2 and MGS3. So I'll go with MGS3.
The one thing I hated about the series is that it got too long-winded with sentimental and judgmental sermons. "Blah, blah, blah, America is bad. Blah, blah, blah, war is bad."

I voted MGS4. For the brilliant gamepaly and the fact that it actually made sense of the horrid mess that was MGS2's storyline(not to mention making Raiden cool, and not a pretty-boy pansy)
