The one back in 2002 when the Democrats ran an ad with a cartoon mockup of a Social Security card with George W Bush pushing a screaming old lady in a wheelchair down the red graphic lines as if they were a set of stairs...

IMHO, those aren't any worse than the 1998 radio ad that the Democratic Party ran in Missouri specifically claiming that if Republicans get elected another black church was going to burn. The same year Democrats handed out fliers in Maryland with pictures from the 1950s and 60s of burning churches that insinuated if Republicans get elected that is what you could expect to happen.

And let's not forget the ad from 2000 that tried to link George W. Bush with the dragging death of James Byrd in Texas in 1998 while showing a pick-up dragging some chains. This ad proclaimed that Bush "killed" James Byrd "all over again." The usually amicable Joseph Lieberman actually defended it on NBC’s Meet the Press.

This was around the same time that William Clay (D-Mo.) accused Bush of reaching out toward blacks like the KKK did -- "with nooses and burning crosses." And let's not forget Vice President Joe Biden's dire warning to blacks in 2012 that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan were "going to put y’all back in chains."

And as I mentioned yesterday in another thread, at the Democrat's convention in 2002, then Vice President, and the party's nominee for president, Al Gore proclaimed that Republicans wanted to put "poison in our air and drinking water." I should add that in a 2005 fundraising letter Sen. Ted Kennedy accused President George W. Bush, along with Dick Cheney and presidential adviser Karl Rove, of having "poisoned our air and water."

And if you want to go back a couple more years there is the rhetoric that was employed against Newt Gingrich. Then House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt called Gingrich and his supporters "trickle-down terrorists who base their agenda on division, exclusion and fear" and right after the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing the Democratic Campaign Committee sent out a mass mailing claimed that Newt Gingrich "supports the policies of a terrorist."

Their cohorts in the media were no less shrill and vitriolic. On CNN’s Journalist Roundtable NPR’s Sunni Khalid declared on that Gingrich "is looking at a more scientific, a more civil way of lynching people."

Basically, Hillary's new ad is pretty much par for the course when it comes to the Democrats. And while the Republicans can be just as bad they never get a free pass from the press like the Democrats do.
