Harry "Obscene Phone" McCall does it again:

Lets say all the facts as recorded in the Gospels were totally true.

Let say that all the ancient testimonials of the ancient pagan authors were correct and true as recorded about Jesus and what they recorded totally supported the Gospels.

Lets say we had a Jesus who was 100% New Testament reality who lived and functioned in the past reality....

Now lets asked: Just what happened to all the miracles (the works the Gospels calls the “Signs and Wonders”)? Just why did everything come to a sudden stop? Just why don’t we have a continuation of wonder workers or miracle working disciples known as Christians today rising the dead, healing the sick and working “Signs and Wonders” as given by the master Jesus himself to all who believe in the King of Heaven / God and as proof of the Gospel reality? In short, just why are not there Gospels miracles still happening today performed by ALL Christians?

Fact is, even if we removed all the debate about the truthful historicity of the New Testament, we still fail to have Christians living and working “Signs and Wonders” among us today.

Fact is, the Dodo bird did exist. The Dodo bird did feed hungry sailors. The Dodo bird did factually live in history and no one could argue otherwise.

But the Dodo bird is no more. Gone is its wonderful nourishing meat. Gone is this huge flightless bird that fascinated all who saw it. Far all the historical truthfulness of a past real live Dodo bird, it can now only live on in human imagination. That’s the price of extinction.

So to even if one were to accepts all the above about Jesus in the New Testament as being totally true, he would remain an extinct creature of the past just like our Dodo bird. A factual and wonder working reality of the past, but a totally extinct wonderworker who is now gone forever.

Poor Harry. Still wants a pop-up God-in-a-Box to change his remote for him, just like Dumplin' Dumbash.

But he's wrong about the dodo....they're not extinct.....

Hmmm. So if everything happened, Christianity is true.

But Christianity can somehow only be true if miracles are still going on today?

Oh yes. Doesn't matter if Jesus rose from the dead in the past and is God incarnate and conquered sin, we still need to see something today for that to be true.

ISTM that it would only be persecution if it's done by someone in authority or with the official/unofficial support of those in authority. Maybe that's just my take on things. Otherwise, it's just someone being a jackass.

If that was the case , it would be incumbent on all men of fighting age to close down every single "child slaighter house " abortion clinic , in their community and country . The reason that is not happening is because , in our conscience , in our hearts , we all know that a fetus is not a child .

Yes, I see the difference, but the point is merely that Christianity has no problem appropriating from other religions.

I mean, since it uses the entire Jewish Bible, Christianity is naturally prone to syncretism.

I just received an e-mail that quoted Rook Hawkins of the "Rational Response Squad" as saying the following:

"RationalResponders.com: White was supposed to contact me ages ago about a debate and he chickened out."

I would like to make it clear that Mr. Hawkins has never contacted me about a debate, hence, I can not "chicken out" of a debate he has never contacted me about. In fact, I was the one who contacted them to let them know I was going to critique some of his comments on an edition of The Dividing Line. In essence I was told that if I wanted to contact him, I should post on their web board. I have no interest in web boards and their incessant silliness, so I did not. That was the end of that. So what Mr. Hawkins, the self-proclaimed historical expert of the "Rational Response Squad" is talking about, I have no idea. But if his grasp of ancient history is as slippery as his grasp of recent history, well, that says a lot.
