Natural Science 301 Guidelines

This is an open forum area for all members for discussions on all issues of science and origins. This area will and does get volatile at times, but we ask that it be kept to a dull roar, and moderators will intervene to keep the peace if necessary. This means obvious trolling and flaming that becomes a problem will be dealt with, and you might find yourself in the doghouse.

As usual, Tweb rules apply. If you haven't read them now would be a good time.

When someone decides to move into the forest, the first thing they do is clear out enough trees to build a house.

Space is really big. And moving. Why not use an uninhabited planet?

as the Vogons said, "There’s no point in acting all surprised about it. All the planning charts and demolition orders have been on display at your local planning department in Alpha Centauri for fifty of your Earth years so you’ve had plenty of time to lodge any formal complaints and its far too late to start making a fuss about it now."

Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom

Some scientists have calculated that if someone had the available technology it would be far cheaper to terraform a nearby planet than try to move halfway across the galaxy.

I'm always still in trouble again

Good thing we don't have any neighbors then!
