Is it just me or do some campaigns take longer to start than to play?

I'm always still in trouble again

"You're by far the worst poster on TWeb" and "TWeb's biggest liar" --starlight (the guy who says Stalin was a right-winger)
"Overall I would rate the withdrawal from Afghanistan as by far the best thing Biden's done" --Starlight

Yeah, that happens more than you think. ESPECIALLY with narrative games that require set-up sessions.

      ETA:

The Character Sheets you guys have sent me are looking good.

I have finished out my equipment fully as of a day or two ago.

At least it isn't Star Fleet Battles

Okay, sorry to keep y'all waiting. I'd have had it done a week ago but didn't have internet when I really needed it.

Thanks again, Spart for the help!

I'm sending the sheet now - I still have incidental equipment to buy (I may make that a thing with her - she goes shopping just before an adventure) and will probably get a few wands. Otherwise, I think I've got everything.

I'm hoping Spart's character wields drumsticks as natural weapons and goes by the name Animal.

Why didn't I think of that idea before.
              I'm not here anymore.

What is this all about? Some sort of roleplaying game?

Pretty much, yeah. I'm attempting to revive the Tweeb section by assembling a Play-By-Post game using the Pathfinder Game System.

A gnoll brawler who dual-wields saps (or light maces). That could work, but it's not what I was planning to play.

Speaking of playing, how soon can we get started?
                      Don't call it a comeback. It's a riposte.

As soon as I finish making RG's character (working on Magic Items) and finish designing the encounters.

"Gnolls start knowing their racial language only."

And people wonder why he only seems to say 'animal' over and over.

                            I thought about that, too

If I ever do end up doing in-person games, I'll have to keep that character concept in my back pocket as a generic melee meatshield.

DumDum is still one of my favorite characters. The downside was not being able to contribute to planning while in-character. 6 INT doesn't go far.

Yeah, I'd feel a little restrained by that too, though if I were playing in an unfamiliar system (though honestly I have a lot more experience with character creation than combat, so both 3.5 and PF are unfamiliar systems) I could easily role-play "tell animal and animal do!" At the very least, I think it would be fun to play a well-meaning and loyal, if somewhat dim, meatshield.
