Male - ChristianI finally have a church home!
The past few years have been pretty hectic in my life; but I've started to settle down. To that end, I just now joined the church I have been visiting for the past year and plan to plant some roots.
I haven't had any real friends for a few years (most of my friends were church or marching band members) and can't wait to stop being anti-social.
Yay, me.

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

Hope you find good fellowship. Do not limit yourself to age in fellowship. Mark Twain said * Age is mostly a matter of the mind, if you dont mind, it doesnt matter!*

Of course you don't have any friends, you are a looser. And being anti-social is you most redeeming quality.
......
But seriously, I am happy for you. It is so important to have a strong Christian anchor in the community called the local church from which you can draw your strengths and your friendships.
and to which you can contribute your strengths and friendship. It is a two way street you know. I went "church shopping" for about a year before I found a permanent church home (I thought I had found one right away but after about four months, I realized many things were not what they appeared to be. I regret joining that church so soon, but there was pressure from Mrs. Lizard and a friend of mine who left the same church I just left and found this chruch. Well both me and my friend left that church in less than a year. but i digress.
I am glad you took your time before joining (though a year may be a bit long). I did wait about six months before I joined my current chruch, didn't want a repeat of the surprises that got last time.Where is human nature so weak as in the bookstore?- Henry Ward Beecher

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black, my dear :lizard . I bet lizards eat their mates after intercourse like black widow spiders. Now THAT'S anti-social!Of course you don't have any friends, you are a looser. And being anti-social is you most redeeming quality.
It was mostly due to procrastination than doubt that led me to hold off on joining. I am the King of Procrastination, you know. I plan to have an official coronation....eventually.I am glad you took your time before joining (though a year may be a bit long). Mellophone?! BWHAHAHAHA. You can tell Mellophonists are wanna-be trumpet players. A Mellowphone is nothing more than a whacked-up trumpet.
