I am content with how God has proscribed my life. It has not been without incident, and we are facing another one now, with my daughter's health, but His hand has been so apparent and I know He has walked every step with us on the journey.

And I think you and MelMak would get along, too. He is some older than you, but is a pretty good kid (everybody is a kid to me, especially my own kids).

People look at my resume' (when I have one) and usually say something like "dang, you must be 200 years old". Many of my jobs were concurrent. Sometimes, I've held as many as 3 jobs at one time, like when I was in College.

Let's see, I've been a Paper Boy, Air Force, Navy, Police Officer, Tech Writer, Auto Assembler, Rancher, Farmer, Preacher, Chimney Sweep, IT Professional, HR Manager, Facilities Manager, News Paper Distribution Manager, Director of Corporate Communications, Youth Minister, Heavy Equipment Operator, Water Filtration Superintendent, College Student, Seminary Student, School Teacher, Traffic Accident Investigator, College Minister, Computer Consultant, Systems Analyst, Certified Transitional Pastor, Rebellious Teenager, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Communications Systems Tester, Pastor, Farm Implement Assembler, EMT, HazMat Specialist, Oilfield Chaplain, Police Chaplain, Junior Animal Doctor.....

then I turned 25.....

and LONG before Gibbs' Rule #9, I've carried a hip knife, a boot knife, a shoulder knife, and a little bitty one - combination flare gun, dinner set and genuine police whistle*.

I just turned 75 the other day. I worked for a couple years in the mailroom for Hartford Insurance in San Francisco. I had lots of brief odd jobs (the oddest was testing the original pop top cans for the American Can Company) but retired on January 1, 2000 from the State of Alaska Department of Transportation. My wife, of 52 years, and I have two children, a son and a daughter. We have 6 grand kids (one deceased), and 4 great grands with one in the oven.

I met Christ about 43 years ago, and can not imagine how I lived without Him for 33 or 34 years.
