Umm.. not to get too technical (congrats, btw), but were you both in the water, or what? How does she get to crush your hand during contractions?

LOL the Water is very warm. You wouldn't want to birth a warm baby into cold water that is just cruel. Raphael had the camera and I was in the water alone. I didn't need to crush his hand because the contractions were eased a little by being "weightless" in the pool an the warmth helped too. (a bit like if you get a cramp in your leg you put a heat pack on the area and it helps to ease the pain) Also I have a very high pain threshold so it wasn't too bad.
Raphael did help with wiping my face with a cold cloth and giving me water between contractions and putting lip balm on my lips.
He could've been in the water with me but we decided to get the birth on camera and really I loved all the space I had in the pool.I can do ALL things through CHRIST who STRENGTHENS me.

That would be road cyclists who shave their legs so they look better in the pelaton. Us mountain bikers like having mud and dried blood sticking to our hairy legs.
