There were only three that I heard of back in 2002 who threatened to leave if George W. Bush was elected. Robert Redford threatened to move to Ireland. Babs Streisand threatened to move. And I think Alec Baldwin, according to his ex-wife, made a remark to that effect.

But it definitely nowhere near as widespread as many would think.

There is a list out of 25 people who threatened to leave if Trump won. Among them were Whoopi Goldberg, Babs, Sharpton (of was it Jesse?). That alone would definitely make America greater than it is now.

I don't love Trump. I just hate Hillary.

Two awful choices, but one less awful than the other.

If the choice was between Satan and the Anti-Christ, why choose either?

In this scenario, does either of them get to nominate Supreme Court people?

Yes, but honestly, that just doesn't seem to be a very good reason to vote for either or. In the end, Satan and the Anti-Christ are working together. One will make you aware that you have no control, one will give you the illusion of control.

That's where your analogy breaks down. I don't see Trump working particularly well with anybody. It's tempting to vote for him just for that - the less the federal government gets done, the better.

That is one of the reasons that I, with great reluctance and more than a little trepidation, will vote for Trump. He has alienated the Republican leadership and has virtually no friends in the House or Senate. This will make it very difficult for him to get things accomplished unless it is something the Republicans in Congress already support.

OTOH, the Democrats in recent years pretty much march in lock step so Hillary would have lots of help getting her agenda passed.

The only other reason I support Trump can be summed up in three words: Supreme Court nominees.
