According to the organization the Voice of the Martyrs (website www.persecution.com or search for Voice of the Martyrs) 160,000 Christians are killed annually because of their faith—the vast majority being killed by Muslims.

If Islam claims to be a religion of peace, why is there so much oppression in every Muslim country?

How can we get along, and practice tolerance in light of this truth, and how can the World's largest two Religions get along? Christianity and Islam are the world's largest religions, Studies show that over 2-billion people claim to be Christian and 1.2 billion people claim to be Muslims worldwide. If this is accurate, more than 50% of the world's population have either Christian or Muslim based beliefs.

And, yet dialogue is almost nonexistent. Islam resists ecumenical dialogue more than any other religion. To "proselytize" in any way in an Islamic or Muslim country is to face death by stoning, prison or explusion after a beating.

According to PBS TV, Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education textbooks contained, as of the year 2000, a most disturbing teaching. The teaching, which is from the hadiths (Bukhari 4:176-177) as taught by Muhammad himself, is required instruction for all middle school children in Saudi Arabia. The teaching which is entitled "The Victory of Muslims Over Jews," says:

"The last hour won't come before the Muslims would fight the Jews, and the Muslims will kill them. So Jews would hide behind rocks and trees. Then the rocks and trees would call, 'Oh, Muslim. Oh, Servant of God. There is a Jew behind me. Come and kill him.' "

Included with the text is a list of principles, including the following shocking teaching:

"Jews and Christians are the enemies of believers. They will never approve of the Muslims. Beware of them."

I am not a fan of Bush, but this analogy is extremely weak.

Personally, it is a great analogy. There are no angels in this ball game. ALL of the religions involved here, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have commited there share of atrosities many times over in history and recently.

you do not have to consider Iraq. For the Christian efforts we can begin with the Crusades and stack the bodies up from there. We can even go a little further back to Christian Rome's cleansing of pagans from the empire.

ISTANBUL, November 26 (Compass Direct News) - Thousands of Muslim protestors on Sunday (Nov. 23) attacked a Coptic church in a suburb of Cairo, Egypt, burning part of it, a nearby shop and two cars and leaving five people injured.

Objecting to a newly constructed extension to the Coptic church of St. Mary and Anba Abraam in Ain Shams, the huge crowd of angry protestors gathered outside the church at around 5 p.m. following a consecration service for the addition earlier that day.

Chanting, "We will demolish the church," "Islam is the solution" and "No God but Allah," according to Helmy Guirguis, president of the U.K. Coptic Association, rioters pelted the church with stones and burned part of the structure; priests and worshipers were trapped inside, and five people were injured.

"It was a terrifying moment," said lawyer Nabil Gobrayel, who was inside the church at the time. "They were shouting ‘holy slogans' like, ‘We will bring the church down,', ‘The priest is dead' and ‘The army of Muhammad is coming.'"

That is simply not true. It is estimated that there have been 1.2 million deaths in Iraq as a result of the US invasion.
