Re: Anyone else find short hair on women really unattractive
1 Corinthians 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
"I recall your earliest lessons. You fell from one thousand feet during the walk of death, which, alone, was odd enough at your age, but you made short work of the walk of maiming and the walk of intense discomfort and tore your head clean off. I comforted you, well, your head, saying that you could just walk if off, because, you know, the cut was clean and then you would punch a mountain. In space!" -Master Li, Jade Empire

Straightly hanging down braids !
I sure liked the loosely-woven '1980s' style of them (first photo).

In my opinion, the single most telling piece of evidence that shows how poorly we're manifesting our call to care for animals is the recent creation of factory farms. Over the last century we have, to a large degree, reduced farm animals to commercialized commodities whose only value is found in how efficiently we can produce and slaughter them for profit. Consequently, more than 26 billion animals each year are forced to live in miserable, overcrowded warehouses, where there is absolutely nothing natural about their existence and where they are subjected to barbaric, painful, industrial procedures.
This is a far cry from what God meant when he told us to exercise "dominion." (Pastor Greg Boyd.)

Re: Anyone else find short hair on women really unattractive
In answer to the OP, no I personally don't find short hair unattractive, but SO WHAT?
I find women who try too hard (lots of make-up, hair like an over-grown Barbie doll etc.) to be something of a turn-off, but SO WHAT?
Thankfully, we don't all find the same things attractive or unattractive.
I'll tell you what I find boring though - thinly veiled digs at feminists and lesbians.
While I'm at it I think I'll just add that I find the efforts to persuade or coerce women to look and dress in certain ways to be indirectly sexist, and probably contributory factors in a some women's negative self-image, lack of confidence, anorexia, bulimia etc.
Says who? A girl with short hair looks like a girl with short hair, not like an effeminate guy.Darth does have a point, though. A girl should look like a girl, not like an effeminate guy.
A girl should choose to look how she wants regardless of what you or I think, and when she can do so without being discriminated against or looked down on, then we'll be closer to the goal of equality between the sexes.Last edited by Oolon Colluphid; August 31st 2010 at 10:33 AM.
Whatever your beliefs - whether Agnostic or Atheist, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jain, Jewish, Mormon, Muslim, Pagan, Pantheist, Rastafarian, Shinto, Taoist or Zoroastrian - whatever you believe, most other people in the world don't share your beliefs, so speak your 'truth' with some humility.

"Years ago, I mean decades ago, I read a quote about politicians performing quid pro quo favors for campaign cash, and whether or not we could prove it. The guy who was quoted opined that it was difficult to determine. He noted that in many cases, the payoff might not take the form of votes on legislative action -- those might be detectable, and so are avoided -- but could take subtler forms, like the question that is never asked at a hearing.
The media's doing a terrific job of not asking questions it doesn't want to know the answer to. It doesn't ask these questions in bulk, and the great volume of questions it doesn't ask makes it cheap to not ask questions.
And it passes these savings on to you, the customer." Ace

All that is gold does not glitter,
not all those who wander are lost;
the old that is strong does not wither,
deep roots are not reached by the frost.
just because you can't see him, doesn't mean he isn't there!
even steel must be put to the flame, else it will remain weak and easily removed.
i find it amazing that a person who requests another to demonstrate that they are not terrorists by some small action like making the claim they are not terrorists, becomes terrorized himself, and not by the terrorists or even the proposed terrorists; but by those who seek tolerance and understanding. i believe that fits the definition of ironic doesn't it?

Re: Anyone else find short hair on women really unattractive
I prefer longer hair, but must conceded that I have seen/met some attractive shorter haired women. So I guess my answer to the topic question is "no" in general, noting my preference.
There's an interesting psychology regarding the impetus behind which we find ourselves urged... nay, compelled, to read someone's entire signature.

My argument can be summed up in two words:
Audrey Hepburn.“History is the witness that testifies to the passing of time; it illumines reality, vitalizes memory, provides guidance in daily life and brings us tidings of antiquity.”
-Cicero
“When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained.”
-Mark Twain
"Sometimes it's better to light a flamethrower than curse the darkness."

Is she is a she, has all the proper plumbing, I could care less what's on the HEAD. Heck, I've seen bald women who turned heads, so like I said, a woman is a thing of beauty, and I LOVE beauty...
