Pelosi on job loss
Nancy Pelosi has repeatedly demonstrated her absolute cluelessness again when for at least the second time she announced that: “Every month that we do not have an economic recovery package 500 million Americans lose their jobs."
So according to Pelosi, despite the U.S. having a population of something over 300 million we will lose 500 million jobs a month
As I said, she has made this absurd claim on at least two occasions so it can’t be excused as a mere slip of the tongue. HERE she is on Fox News on January 18 (pertinent part is at 1:15) and HERE she is repeating her claim at a news conference.
After the first time Chris Wallace corrected her and she admitted she misspoke, so I wonder what her excuse is for the (at least) second occurrence.

I heard this on Rush's show this morning. Unfortunately, there are plenty of morons in this country who believe it.

Re: Pelosi on job loss
I look at Pelosi speaking and I just cringe. It's like there is nothing but vacuum behind her eyes. She needs to spend less time coloring her hair and more time thinking about what's going on around her.

Sooner or later you just figure out there are some guys who don't believe in God and they can prove He doesn't exist, and some other guys who can prove He does exist, and the argument stopped being about God a long time ago and now it's about who is smarter, and honestly, I don't care. ~ Don Miller Blue Like Jazz

It's not just the dems. The repubs picked W to run the entire country. Our entire political system is broken.

Re: Pelosi on job loss
Negative. The Supreme court made the decision for the electoral college in Florida.
Regardless, these are semantics. The electoral college technically chooses the president anyway. It just functions as an extension of "the people."
Nevertheless, I'm glad to see that people are meeting at middle ground in this topic. But you know that changing American politics would be a radical thing to do, so "traditional" conservatives would have no part in it. From what I understand, it's the split between neo-cons and traditional conservatives which made the party weak in the eyes of the public."Civil Rights didn't write your resume, but made somebody read your resume." ~ Rev. Al Sharpton

Re: Pelosi on job loss
Well, if you really want to get technical about it, American citizens voted him in twice, illegal immigrants voted against him, the electoral college picked him twice, and the Supreme court ruled in his favor once.
He won 5 elections and lost one, not bad for only sitting two terms. For true conversion, click here.

Oh be easy on Pelosi. After all, we all know that Tweb gets 5 billion new members a day.
