Apparently the mixed reviews were entirely about the fact that the film is being shot at 48 frames a second instead of the usual 24, and it looks different than people are used to film looking. I suspect that we can get used to watching any fps rate with practice, but that takes many films. I must confess this is not the film on which I want to be distracted by, "This cinematography looks weird." I suppose they can always use a computer to cut out every other frame?
