The flawlessness of Catholic doctrine, the Virgin, and Human Sexuality
The Catholic formal doctrine in faith and morals is without stain of error.
The Virgin always was and is without sin.
The Catholic Church alone teaches what is fully pure in human sexuality, especially that artificial birth control is wrong.
Now, the Protestants are very much doctrinally impure. Most of them deny that Mary was sinless. Most of them in their pastors have accepted and still accept Artifical Birth control.
The Orthodox are little bit doctirnally impure. They either debate or deny that Mary was fully sinless. Some of them have accepted in their priests, the validity of abc in some circumstances.
Therefore, there is a mystical connection between doctrinal purity, how one looks at the Virgin, and how pure their sexual doctrine is.

As much as I appreciate the fact that I am not the only one who has noticed that the Catholic Church does not endorce artifical birth control when the main Protestant churches have) Not sure about the Orthodox), I have to discourage the other posters from taking this thread too seriously.
Anyway, spauline, I'll keep on praying for you.Disregard the above.

Re: The flawlessness of Catholic doctrine, the Virgin, and Human Sexuality
News flash, Spurious! Paul was not without sin, Peter, uh, before he was called Satan, was not sinless, and they are much more edifying than Jesus' mom.
Mary had to believe Jesus rose from the dead, and that He is Lord, just like you and I, before we and she were saved.
How one looks at Jesus' mom has zero to do with any doctrine in the Bible. Cite a scripture stating an essential doctrine based on Mary that has any consequence for others. None such exist. Period. The End From The Beginning by Ty Aldrich is available at www.lulu.com/content/2614100 It is NOW AVALABLE through Barnes and Noble in ebook format.

Re: The flawlessness of Catholic doctrine, the Virgin, and Human Sexuality
Goodness. I cannot recall one single sermon in my entire very long life by my Protestant pastors advocating any sort of birth control.
Except abstinence.
Somehow, it's just never come up.
So, do you have stats for your statements about all us hell-bound Prots having pastors that harangue us about birth control?

* I apologize for any scandal I cause to those who doing a forum search read my old posts written before and during my journey to the Catholic Faith. If you read anything heretical, impious, or just plain wrong, please forgive my ignorance. I submit everything to the Magisterium of the Holy Catholic Church. Praised be Jesus Christ forever and ever! Amen. Also, sorry for the times I was a jerk. Lot's of those!

Re: The flawlessness of Catholic doctrine, the Virgin, and Human Sexuality
What is the role of the Virgin in gnostic christianity such as the Nag Hammadi library and the Pistis Sophia? The Virgin of Light reviews the purity of those passing through purgatory to determine whether or not they can pass into the Eternal Light. The Virgin is one of the gnostic trinity of Father, Mother, and Son. These elements became part of early Catholic development.

"I hate Manwe's posts because I hate babies and America." --Augustine2004, August 6, 2011
Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'
