  • Is there any way Clinton could win your vote?

Another permutation of the question that already has at least 3 threads, though this one is aimed mostly at the undecided or 3rd-party leaning folks.

Some thoughts off the top of my own head: back in the early 90s, Hillary employed a slogan about wanting abortion to be "safe, legal, and rare," and the Clinton administration enacted both the Defense of Marriage Act and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. If Clinton still espoused those positions (if indeed she ever did so honestly), or at the very least demonstrated more respect for people who didn't follow her in her evolution on those issues (I have yet to see a truly credible account of any such "evolution" on marriage), I'd be more inclined to vote for her... though I dunno if even that would be enough to keep me from voting 3rd party.
    Don't call it a comeback. It's a riposte.

If she came clean and admitted all her shenanigans, and began acting transparently and honestly, I'd feel a whole lot better about voting for her.

but then she would have to admit she was a criminal who shouldn't be in office much less the highest in the land.

But she would gain my respect - and it's not like I'm in a position to cast the first stone.

No, not without her totally reversing herself on multiple issues. Her politics are simply too different from mine on too many matters that I care about.

Like OBP, there are things she could do to win my respect - but she'd have to be running against Genghis Khan to win my vote. If then...

Nope. Nothing. Too much has passed. Too many dirty deeds. I'm out. FWIW, I will not vote for Donald Chump either. I will not vote for the lady who thinks that wifi gives you cancer. I will not vote for the under-educated-under-prepared candidate for the libertarian party. It wont matter. Billary will win Illinois hands down. It's not even in play.

                  Short answer: No.

                  Longer answer: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

If she admitted that classified information ended up on her private servers, and apologized for that directly, I'd be inclined to forgive her. To date, she's gone from distortions to outright lies to avoid admitting it, and has only apologized for having private servers.

But even though she hasn't earned my vote, Trump has gone way out of his way to earn my vote against him.

In a related question - why should it matter?

I believe, though I could be wrong, it was Bill that said abortion ought to be "safe, legal and rare," rather than Hillary. In any case it was right after declaring that abortion is a "fundamental constitutional right," something that I think would have shocked those who drew up the constitution.

I'm always still in trouble again

I'd vote for her in a heartbeat if she was a completely different person in nearly every conceivable way.

                              Let's see.....

1.) She would have to convince me to move to the USA (not happening)
2.) She would have to make sure I am eligible to vote (see point 1)
3.) She would have to hit me on the head hard enough to forget her previous actions. (hey forgetting things because of concussion seems to be something that works for her)
4.) She would have to change a large number of her policies.

So I guess it's not happening.
