That's a hard question for me, because I have never considered the question. Americans do seem to care about how other countries perceive America. e.g. under Bush and Obama there was talk about whether the presidents' actions "emboldened our enemies and undermined our allies". Yet Americans seem to pay very little attention to what other countries actually think, despite paying lipservice to the idea. e.g. multiple conservatives in this forum sincerely believed that Obama was regarded badly internationally and that Bush was regarded well.

This does not in any way address the question asked, and appears to be little more than an attempt to deflect attention away from that.

                  Germany: 88-12
                  France: 86-14

For comparison, in 2012 Romney got 75 in Utah and Obama got 72 in Hawaii. So most of these countries are more strongly pro-Clinton than even partisan US states tend to be.
and as we now know, those polls are oh so accurate, eh?
