Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotionals, 2016: Year of the Blessing…
    HELP!
    Shalom!

“LORD, you have heard what the poor want. Listen to their prayers, and do what they ask… Many people are suffering-- crushed by the weight of their troubles. But the LORD is a refuge for them, a safe place they can run to. LORD, those who know your name come to you for protection. And when they come, you do not leave them without help.” (Psalms 10:17, 9:9-10 ERV)

From the voice of experience… I have a confession to make. I have a hard time asking for help. My difficulty does not stem from pride because I have no qualms about being helped. As far back as I can remember I’ve always been introverted while I am not sure I think it stems from an incident in grade school where I walked away feeling inferior, which still haunts me today. Funny thing is I have no trouble asking God for help. Do you know the age old tale God helps them that helps themselves, I don’t believe it because 50+ years ago I discovered God DOES HELP them that CAN’T help themselves.

In spite of my difficulty in asking for help I need help! You need help! We need help! Wise is the person who admits they need help. There are those who think asking for help is a sign of weakness. Wrong! To ask for help is a sign of strength, strength not in themselves but strength in asking for help. There is strength in asking? In spite of what you think about asking for help as a sign of weakness it is NOT, because no one asks for help without first harboring hope not in themselves but hope and faith that not only does God show up but He brings helpers along with Him.

From the voice of experience… “LORD, those who know your name come to you for protection. And when they come, you do not leave them without help.” There are sub-chapters in our lives when we transition from helped to helper. If you’ve even wondered why bad things happen to good people let me give you one reason. Bad things happen to good people so good people can help other good people who are victims of bad things. YOU my friend ARE God’s Helper taught and tutored by the circumstances of your life. Never forget my helper friend, "Then the king will answer, “The truth is, anything you did for any of my people here, you also did for me.” (Matthew 25:40 ERV)

There are times when it seems there are more people needing help then there are helpers. The truth is GOD and ONE PERSON (you) are not only a majority but unbeatable as well!

“God, show mercy to us and bless us. Please accept us! Selah “
    GRACE and PEACE,
    Gary
