I am disappointed with the pro-abortion stance this administration is taking. I am an active citizen, so I am working on a Powerpoint presentation to send to Mr. Obama to possibly change his mind. I have included information that birth starts at conception, and sometimes before. I have included pictures of women who have died doing abortions on themselves with barbaric equipment. And I have included testimonials from the leading ministers in my area to why abortion is wrong.

What else can we do to change his mind?

For those who support abortion rights, what you have mentioned is an argument FOR legalized abortion, not against it. Pro-choice people claim that, with legalized abortion, there is no need for such barbaric back-ally abortions, and those women would still be alive. Thus abortion is wonderful, and so forth and so on.

The fact that most mainstream Christian denominations abhor abortion is well known. Thus, I doubt this will sway any who already support abortion rights.

I believe that Dizzle's suggestion of prayer is probably all that can be done.

I believe the display of gratuitous pictures of aborted fetuses loses the Pro-Life lobby more supporters than it gains us. The display of such images is associated in the general public's eye with the radical, Bible-thumping Christian type, and any arguments associated with radical religion rarely have the desired effect, regardless of whether the arguments themselves are valid or not.

I'd say there isnt much you can do to change Obama's mind. Over here in Australia we have just decriminalised abortion and the response from the wider public has been generally positive.

Id say its better to accept that Obama wont change his stance so that instead you can focus on trying to defend the rights of doctors to not personally perform the abortion operation if they do not so wish.

Im all for abortion but i do believe that if a doctor has an objection to it on religious terms then he or she should be able to simply allow another doctor to perform the operation and not go through with it themselves.

This is one of the absolute worst parts about being a Democrat. At times I feel I am the only pro life democrat in the nation. For a party that "cares" so much about the disenfranchised they seem to care little about the unborn. It is horrible. I think we need to change the parties stance if you expect Obama to shift.

That would be tantamount to having a battle of wits with an unarmed man. He cannot understand you because he is in the dark. First pray that he will get saved. Then pray that he will allow the Holy Spirit to lead Him. Barring that, you're wasting your time and energy on a lost cause. Obama is about one thing, and one thing alone, getting liberal democratic voters who love their abortions to vote for him. As long as they vote, he'll bend over backwards to do whatever he can to support abortions. If you think he cares more about the life of a fetus, then he does about keeping his office as president, think again. He may not sell his own soul to the devil for political office, but he will sell the souls of millions of unborn babies. He may still end up in the same place, but to him it's a less painful way of getting there.
