linux modems
For several months I've been working on getting modem support in RH9. I've attempted to find linux drivers for my Conexant HSF (which actually exist I was shocked to discover) but they don't seem to do anything besides get my modem to a state where I have to shut the computer off to reset it.
What I'm going to do instead is try to find a reasonably-priced hardware modem. Does anybody know which ones are supported by Red Hat or at least ones that be set up with minimal frustration? In the grave they chose to make their beds
Now all that they've created comes crashing down,
Down upon their heads
Death is waiting

Any Hardware based Modem should work.... There should be labeling on the package that would suggest Linux compatablity...
As for pricing, that's where the problem lies... They aren't cheap... $50 on average for what I've seen...
