For What Art Thou Thankful?

I have SO much for which to be thankful.

Our Church is just doing great, and I love to 'brag' that everybody gets along. (That's not the case in too many Churches)

I'm thankful that I live in a neighborhood (for now) and am getting ready to build our retirement home.

But, at the risk of waxing political - I am truly grateful that there has been a major shakeup in our political landscape in the US.
Politics, by no means, is the solution to our nation's ills.

BUT, I go back to that Psalm (33:12) that says "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance".

You and James! He and his wife had been on a trip up North, and had been gone for several months. They were back in town last week, so they were in Church for the first time in AGES, it seemed. We actually had about 3 or 4 families who had joined while they were gone, so they got to meet NEW FAMILY, and I got to give an update on Jim, who was pretty much a dead man (not even walking) when we met him, and here he comes walking into Church looking healthy and strong!

So, yes, I thank God for Jim - alive and well after liver transplants!!!!
