      Gatsby,

You may find comfort in making the Bible say what you say, but if you read it carefully and prayerfully, you will only find that we are missing the vital ingredient which is in Christ alone. In him are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Leave the sauce and tap into the source, if you know what I mean.

Another time, another place, I am gone without a trace.

      Sincerely,
      Eric J. Sawyer.

The Apostle Paul's letter to the Colossians, is very helpful in teaching us what is in Christ and no-one else. Humble your heart, and be surprised by JOY!

Now at one point the Pharisees asked Jesus when the kingdom of God was coming, so he answered, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is 1 in your midst.” 2

      Notes:

1 tn This is a present tense in the Greek text. In contrast to waiting and looking for the kingdom, it is now available.
2 tn This is a far better translation than “in you.” Jesus would never tell the hostile Pharisees that the kingdom was inside them. The reference is to Jesus present in their midst. He brings the kingdom. Another possible translation would be “in your grasp.” For further discussion and options, see D. L. Bock, Luke (BECNT), 2:1414-19

Of Course!! I totally agree with you Eric. Hence we must allow the Christ consciousness to rule over us which will be done once we lost our egoic mortal mind and let Christ rule.

Re the Bible, it has been translated that many times that now all that remains is hardly even kernels of what Jesus actually taught. Hence I would rather listen to enlightened masters who really did know what Jesus said. How? By letting the Christ mind rule thier lives for all wisdom, love and peace comes to us through the Christ within us. Our consciousness is the same as His consciousness only it is veiled for most of the masses just now. Take the veil away and you will find that love and peace is at the very centre of your Being.

Does it not dawn on you Eric that Jesus only taught a small number of people. He gave the reason for that when he said not to through pearls before swine. This meant do not expend spiritual energy trying to explain to those fellows whose mind has not been prepared for what they are to recieve. In other words, the majority of people at that time would not understand what Jesus was teaching hence he did not waste his time or energy on them. And nothing much has changed since then sadly.

      I think enough said.

Peace as you go on your way.

Are you saying that Jesus spoke to you? That is very interesting indeed!

Eric, what I would say is that focusing on the Bible or a religion brings people's minds to God and that in itself is a good thing, because from there they will sort out the chaff from the wheat. Much worse are those who dont bother and make a hundred excuses why they dont bother. At least you have the common sense to know that there is a God/Creator/Source.
