If I promise to donate to a cause that helps find cures for anacephalic people like you, do you promise to shut up?

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

Hey genius, evolution makes no truth claims about why the universe or life exists or whether or not God exists.

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'

'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

Yep, because everybody knows that religious people can not believe in evolution.

Re: Tekton was funny/ Thanks for the laugh!

Why is a historical Adam and Eve more ludicrous than thinking that we all evolved from single-celled creatures over billions of years, guided only by time, chance, and natural selection?
The castigation of fools is, of course, an ancient and honorable task of writers and, unless very poorly done, an enterprise that will usually entertain those who behold it.

How qualified are you Johnny, did you say dental technology? Do you practice on the island of misfit toys?

My total theological qualifications are that I've read the Bible as well as a number of other books on the subject, both skeptical and apologetic.
So Johnny does that really qualify you to perform proper exegesis?

There is some strength to this background. I've approached Christianity from an outsider's perspective (as much as one can be having grown up in America) and this enables me to analyze the worldview without the emotional bias that comes from indoctrination.
That said, my CV is non-existent. My arguments must rise or fall purely on their own merit.
There you have it, an instant expert on literary forms and ANE culture--just have an outsiders perspective without all the emotional baggage like those trained scholars.

      Tinúviel,
Both sides are open to me, but looking at the man absurdities in the OT, pointed out in this thead I don't buy the OT version of the creation of mankind.
Although the real God could have created man using the template of an ape, as man.
      Google progressive creation.
I actually believe in Jesus, and I believe he was the son God, but the same way you do.
I believe in God, and know God created the univere, either through evolution or progressive creation.
      Thank Yahweh,
For teaching us how to take dumps in barley cakes.
      Ez 4
Yahweh stated " And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend " Jer. 19:9
Yahweh will kill children and young men, and the dead bodies "shall fall as dung .... and none shall gather them." Jer. 9:21-22
"Yahweh will punish the people by killing their young men in war and starving their children to death". Jer. 11:22

Ugh... I forgot how much stupid was in this thread. I don't even think the Klingons could get rid of it all.

Who votes we call in the Ladies from Hell to take care of it all instead?
