Thank you for the links Bill the Cat. Like I said I had never heard of the term before.

I still find it a very classifying word. I really would feel like I was insulting my parents and twin brother if I would start to call myself a completed Jew and them just Jews. Fortunately we do not look upon eachother like this. In that case I prefer Messianic Jew.... oh all that labeling and boxing....

As to the thread, I have been to synagogue many times hahaha... and I still go! I am welcome and among my people. In fact I go on Saturday to synagogue and on Sunday to church.... so what does that make me (do not tell me that I am schizofrene!)

No, there is no Jewish "race". There are white Jews, and black Jews, and Asian Jews, and I've
even met a Native American Jew.
However, we are a "people" and a culture, as well as a religion.
