Martin Luther: Topical Master Index For Papers And Blogs By James Swan

This is a great resource for researching Luther, just in general, or to verify/falsify claims that are often made about him during debate.

What I like about James Swan's work is not only its thoroughness, but by reading his research I have some fog lifted from my own assumptions regarding what "everybody knows" Luther said. I am much, much more skeptical of outrageous quotes supplied by apologists of what ever stripe than I was before.
      Infant faith? You betcha!

I have often found Swan's BAR blog to be quite useful. :D
"If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, then I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Him. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved; and to be steady on all the battlefront besides is merely flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point." -Martin Luther

"True and sound wisdom consists of two parts: the knowledge of God and of ourselves." - John Calvin
