Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom

So their policy of not granting visas to anyone from Syria is anti-Christian and pro-Muslim? Riiiiiight...
You guys must see persecution when you look into the surface of your morning coffee. There's pills for that.
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump
"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism" - George Orwell

There are two policies which, to the best of my recollection, Trump has discussed r.e. refugees/immigration:

          1. the muslim ban, i.e. no muslim immigration

          2. Moratorium on immigration from terrorist hotbeds, e.g. Syria. Pretty sure this is the one he was leaning toward most recently, since the first one drew criticism from e.g. Paul Ryan

As for the case in the OP, the bishop would probably be allowed in under policy 1, but not policy 2, and the Muslims from Egypt and Pakistan could feasibly be allowed in under policy 2 because those countries are relatively stable.

I agree that the bishop being denied a visa is pretty stupid, but there's a deeper consistency to be considered, even if the OP is about Britain and not America.
          Don't call it a comeback. It's a riposte.

Way to not understand the cited source. You must have real problems following the instructions on instant coffee packets. Don't think there are any pills for that, though.

Um, they were offering asylum to people the Egyptian Government had declared to be terrorists. Members of the Muslim Brotherhood specifically.

What does Trump and any of his plans have to do with the UK?

Or even immigration. The OP is talking about a VISA for a VISIT, not an immigration. This is just travel to the UK for a visit for a ceremony.
