Do you review your purchases? (not just books)
Do you go back to review your purchases if you bought online, or on LibraryThing? I am starting to. I realize how much I count on online reviews, and heck, if only the idiots review, what good is that?
Plus with sellers, I think it makes their day to get a positive review.
The same goes with podcasts. Bless a podcaster today. You can review multiple times on Podcast Pickle and Podcast Alley. I can testify that sometimes that one review lifts up my entire day.
Kindness can cost you so little, and yet mean so much.
But yes, I am trying to review things now. My LibraryThing page contains some reviews, and I will try to add more.Nochyu mokraya ptitsa nikogda ne letaet.

Re: Do you review your purchases? (not just books)
If I see/read/play a particulary good or bad book/movie/tv show/video game, I will sometimes review it on my blog. I rarely do so anywhere else though....

I review things on Amazon that I purchase now and am considering doing professional book reviews for a little extra Do Re Mi.
ETA: If anyone is curious about my Amazon reviews, just look for ApologiaPhoenix. Yeah. Gonna be difficult to learn isn't it?

Re: Do you review your purchases? (not just books)
Just to support the negative of the proposition, I rarely if ever feel like publicly reviewing a book/CD/DVD. I'd much rather the person (i.e., the presumptive review reader) would read/listen/view the work itself, and not go away thinking (s)he knows it based on whatever I might have said.
Discussing a book is a different matter than reviewing it, of course.

Re: Do you review your purchases? (not just books)
when I buy something and it is particularly good or bad, I will make sure to review it. I do it on newegg, amazon, and audible.com
but if it already has a good or bad rating and I have nothing to really add, I usually don't bother.
