Re: Miracles Administered
1. Probably not. I didn't look.
2. I have not misrepresented what you were saying. I was pointing out the two standards you use, one for children and new believers, and another standard for those you believe should, by a certain time or age, agree with your standards for salvation. After they are older and time has passed you find cause to say 'they never were saved.'
3. I should have called you a "white-washed tomb" and you and Nick and Sparko and Pilgrim a "brood of vipers."
4. You'll deny it, but I answered your questions many times. But you would ask more questions to try to get me to say something with which you can find fault. When there is no end of questions, and some are obviously leading questions and loaded questions, there will be some answers you claim were not answers. The End From The Beginning by Ty Aldrich is available at www.lulu.com/content/2614100 It is NOW AVALABLE through Barnes and Noble in ebook format.

My most recent faith struggle is not one of intellect. I don't really do that anymore. Sooner or later you just figure out there are some guys who don't believe in God and they can prove He doesn't exist, and some other guys who can prove He does exist, and the argument stopped being about God a long time ago and now it's about who is smarter, and honestly, I don't care. ~ Don Miller Blue Like Jazz

Re: Miracles Administered
Ty, will you answer my post? I will repeat it. If you don't bother to answer me and correct any erroneous statements I might be making, I will have to assume that what I am saying is correct, that you think that Jesus being God only had to do with the incarnation and him being sinless and that you don't think him being God had any part in the atonement. Is that true?
====
what do you mean by "not for salvation"? Are you saying that his deity had nothing to do with him paying for our sins? that is what it sounds like you are saying and I want to clarify it.
actually Ty that is what it DOES sound like what you are saying and why I am asking. It sounds like you are saying his humanity was more important to him paying for our sins than him being God. I am saying that they were EQUALLY important. and that is what Rum Tum said. Notice the word "equally" in her question to you? and you answered "no" so that sounds like you are saying they were not equally important to our salvation.False dichotomy. You want to get me to say that Jesus was more of one than the other. He was not.
Why are you having such a hard time speaking plainly? You said you were a teacher.
Explain how Jesus' humanity and his divinity were necessary for him to pay for our sins, or why only one or the other was needed. That is all I am asking.
yes it was, because if he was not incarnated he wouldn't have been able to die on the cross. Stop dodging. Do you think his divinity as God was only needed so that he could incarnate as a sinless man and live a sinless life? Or do you see his divinity as necessary for his death on the cross to pay for our sins? The incarnation was absolutely necessary to pay for our sins on the cross.
why did you cut out my question about an angel being incarnated as a perfectly sinless man? If God did do that, could the angel, incarnated as sinless man pay for our sins on the cross?
why? that is what we are talking about. We are talking about cultists who deny the divinity of Christ, even when it is explained to them. Are they saved or not?It is dishonest of YOU to keep implying a doctrine of Mormons or JWs.
No. ty, let's have you answer the questions directly and stop dodging. Explain what you think happened on the cross and if Jesus had to be just as much God as Man in order to pay for our sins on the cross and why.Let's move on, now.
You claim to be a teacher who knows more about the bible than us, so why don't you teach us? As far as I can tell you have no idea what happened on the cross or why Jesus has to be both Man and God to save us.

I didn't run away. I said what I wanted to say.
The only answers you would acknowledge is:
1. one that you would use to continue to accuse me,
or,
2. one in which I conform to your religious requirements.
I have moved on to a new thread, to get the topic back on track and keep it there. The End From The Beginning by Ty Aldrich is available at www.lulu.com/content/2614100 It is NOW AVALABLE through Barnes and Noble in ebook format.
