Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2016: Year of the Blessing…
    Everyone needs the Christmas Child…
    Shalom!

“Please, Lord, rescue me! Come quickly, Lord, and help me. May those who try to destroy me be humiliated and put to shame. May those who take delight in my trouble be turned back in disgrace. Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said, “Aha! We’ve got him now!” (Psalm 40:13–15, NLT)

When reading the Psalms have you ever wondered who “those,” “them,” “their,” and “they” are? I do. In some circles people put names and faces, to them. In other circles they are identified as problems, adversities, and difficulties. I’ve been in those circles but I’ve come to the point where in most cases I identify them as the man in the mirror, me. And when I stop long enough to listen to the man in the mirror I hear him praying, “LORD, I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24, NLT)

There was time when I beat myself up pretty bad when I found unbelief getting the best of me but then over time it began to dawn on me that it was through unbelief my faith was becoming stronger. Faith not just in the LORD rescuing me but faith in His ever presence in my heart and life.

Probably the only thing out of Jesus’ mouth was baby talk and a few cries, yet his birth itself was his forever message to YOU and to ME. “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”” (Mark 2:17, NLT) There you have it, Sinners need Jesus! And I certainly qualify. I don’t want to glorify sin but it is what it is, but with our lives securely anchored in Jesus what it is isn’t what it needs to be... “Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?” (Romans 6:1–2, NLT)

Remember the fellow who admitted his unbelief? Apparently Jesus wasn’t bothered by the man’s unbelief instead He responded to what was in the man’s heart. He not only rescued the man from his unbelief but rescued his son as well. Jesus does that with us as well, He responds to what’s in our heart not what’s in our head!

Jesus is a sinner’s best friend! However, a sinner without Jesus is his or her own worst enemy!

May your focus be on Jesus and may the Holy Spirit nurture and grow the Seeds of Blessing planted in you.

    GRACE and PEACE,
    Gary
