Hey, I still call them mailman - even if it is a girl...Atheism is the cult of death, the death of hope. The universe is doomed, you are doomed, the only thing that remains is to await your execution...

But Oxford apparently can't decide how to pronounce "Mx", listing it as pronounced mix or mux or mixter. They're making it up as they go along. The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

In my spare time I help out an anime convention. Its a fun challenge trying to code in all the preferred pronouns and try to couple it together with the translation system.
Here are the ones I've encountered so far:
'they', 'them', 'their', 'theirs'
'xe', 'xem', 'xyr', 'xyrs'
'ze', 'zir', 'zir', 'zirs'
'zie', 'hir', 'hir', 'hirs'
'ey', 'em', 'eir', 'eirs'
've', 'ver' , 'vis', 'vis'
'ne', 'nem', 'nir', 'nirs'

There is a question of tact. I do have genderqueer friends, and my approach for them is highly contextualized. If I'm talking about one of them to a fellow Catholic friend, I might say 'he', if I'm talking to an artist friend at the con I usually get away with using the person's name.
I've yet to be specifically asked to use a particular pronoun.

A friend of mind jokingly suggested: 'male', 'female' and 'comrade' as choices so far.

If I was asked to use one of these, uh, unique pronouns, I'd try to use it out of deference. I'd probably slip up at some point and use he or she, because Ze or Xe sounds so strange to me. I wonder how much trouble such a slip-up would get me in.I DENOUNCE DONALD J. TRUMP AND ALL HIS IMMORAL ACTS.
