I've Been Unfaithful
Okay, I admit it. I signed up for another message board. Until last night, I had only ever participated in TWeb. But then the dulcet tones of Josh Groban seduced me and I signed up for the Friends of Josh Groban site (for money, no less!) and cruised around the message board. The free board is so bad I couldn't even bring myself to post. The official board is a lot easier to read and vaguely reminded me of TWeb (sorta like a goofy little brother that you don't want around). I posted a bit but found myself longing for the streamlined, intelligent and all-around groovy TWeb. Now I appreciate all you've done to make this site feel like the next best thing to home!
Not only was the basic vb design barely enhanced to make navigaton easy, but the folks populating the place just start thread after thread after thread about one guy (not God, btw, but you'd never know it from their posts!) and they spend all day telling each other how much they love JG. They don't answer each other's questions and the threads follow no logical progression at all.
Will I be back?
Only to get the inside scoop on advance ticket and cd purchases. Don't worry about me. I can stop any time I want to.

You unfaithful sinner.
Hehe just kidding.
Although TWeb is my home, I frequent many other boards on a daily basis, as do many other people here. Tweb is the best, though.

I'm extremely faithful....what's wrong with me?

/ot what happened to my star?
If I have a mystical experience, an experience that's so overwhelming that I know now that there's a God, the cognitive fallout from that is irrelevant. The fact that that experience can be explained by psychologists in numerous ways is irrelevant to the fact that I now know.

I too must admit to looking at other message boards, although I've never posted regularly on another one except for the Catholic Center at Tulane University. I've probably posted a few computer related questions or answers on other boards too but none that I can recall off hand. Thankfully TWEB is not like women in that only Cirisme throws stones when I look at other message boards. The preceeding sentence was brought to you by my crying hope for a girlfriend.

TWeb isn't my first christian message board, though it is by far the biggest and best.

"Our natural experiences (sensory, emotional, imaginative) are only like the drawing, like pencilled lines on flat paper. If they vanish in the risen life, they will vanish only as pencil lines vanish from the real landscape, not as a candle flame that is put out but as a candle flame which becomes invisible because someone has pulled up the blind, thrown open the shutters, and let in the blaze of the risen sun." - C.S. Lewis, Transposition.

actually, when i came to TWeb, i thought it stunk because the posts are linear, and i am used to the tree style threads at CARM. but now that the CARM boards use a thing called "overload mode," i'm more fond of TWeb.

As long as people use the quote feature, You don't have to have a threaded view in order to understand what's going on...
Personally, I'd hate to see the "Any Reasons to Believe in Christianity?" Thread in Threaded View.
