Seems like even Colorado is trying to guard against the 'faithless electors' theme...

DENVER (CBS4)– There was some drama at the state Capitol on Monday afternoon when one elector had to be replaced after refusing to vote for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

That elector was replaced and all nine electors in Colorado voted for Clinton.

It will be interesting to see how Texas handles this... I hadn't heard before that 4 electors in Texas planned on resigning.

Texas Republicans are scheduled to commence their most closely-watched Electoral College vote in decades Monday afternoon, as critics of President-elect Donald Trump urge electors around the country to vote against the real estate mogul.

With one Texas elector planning not to vote for Donald Trump and at least four expected to resign, the proceedings will likely draw national attention once they get underway at 2 p.m. in the Texas House chamber.

New Jersey’s 14 electors formally selected Clinton for president on Monday, bringing her total to 166 — still behind Trump and the number required to become president.

Trump’s Electoral College total stands at 259, just shy of the 270 he needs to formally win the White House.

Solidly Democratic New Jersey awarded all of the state’s Elector

4:57 p.m. – Donald Trump, 262 | Hillary Clinton, 166 | Other, 4

Three Montana members of the Electoral College have voted for Trump.

That brings his elector total to 262 — just short of the 270 required to formally win the presidency.

He only needs 9 more votes!

Iowa’s six Electoral College voters have cast their ballots for Republican Donald Trump, bringing him within a breath of the 270 votes required to formally win the presidency.

That brings his Electoral College total to 268, while Hillary Clinton’s stands at 166.
