  • Australian Labor Party Attempted Illegal Sabotage for Sanders Using Tax Dollars?

Did you guys hear about this? I did a search on the forums, but couldn't find anything about it. Apparently it was reported back in February, but I don't remember seeing it. Someone mentioned it in another forum I'm a member of:

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...party-work-sa/

Young Australians say they are being paid to work for Sen. Bernard Sanders‘ campaign by the Australian Labor Party in what appears to be a violation of U.S. election law, according to an undercover video released Thursday.

The footage captured by Project Veritas Action shows three campaign volunteers discussing how they received compensation from the Australian Labor Party — including airfare, housing and a daily stipend — in order to help Mr. Sanders‘ bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.

The associated video also shows Australians pulling out political signs for Trump, and doing things that they know are illegal, all paid for by Aussie taxpayers.

I'm surprised this didn't get more coverage, or if it did, how I missed it. This whole election process has been such a mess. I can't recall a time in my 40 years that I've ever seen it this bad.

Interesting - hadn't seen that, but it doesn't surprise me.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

I hadn't heard about it, but I'm not surprised. Russian hacking is much more sexy than covering people doing what you want done anyway.

Interesting if true, which considering James O'Keefe is involve that isn't a given, but you know what for the purpose of argument sure, lets talk about election fraud. I am more than willing to support a full investigation into an Australian political party sending a handful of staffers to work directly on the Sanders campaign as long as we also fully investigate what Russia did and hold them accountable.

Of course you would also agree with arresting those who were threatening the electors. Which is real intimidation of voters.

Yes, if the Russian government was involved, we should express our displeasure.

Of course, our reaction to Chinese hacking has been rather muted, and it's not like America doesn't meddle in elections elsewhere.

It was. Literally every intelligence agency, and the FBI, agrees that Russia was all up in our business.

Everyone hacks everyone else. Russia did something leaps and bounds past anything China has ever done to us. As for "we do it to" does that mean we shouldn't react when Russia does it to us? How does that make any sense?

is 'up in our business' a technical term?

Because no, not every agency agreed on this. In fact the FBI and the ODNI (which oversees the 17 agencies) both rejected the CIA's assessment.

The overseers of the U.S. intelligence community have not embraced a CIA assessment that Russian cyber attacks were aimed at helping Republican President-elect Donald Trump win the 2016 election, three American officials said on Monday.
                          ...
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, whose evidentiary standards require it to make cases that can stand up in court, declined to accept the CIA's analysis - a deductive assessment of the available intelligence - for the same reason, the three officials said.
