I keep telling you those were regular mushrooms on that pizza. You only thought that you were husslucinating.

Sure, that's what you TOLD him.

Of course, you told him those rabbit pellets were raisins, too....

        Wait. They weren't?

True Story Time: Back in the 90s my best friend and I went to a wild party where someone had brought some LSD for anyone who wanted it (only two or three people did). It had been dripped onto some saltine crackers.

My best friend didn't know it was on the crackers and helped himself to a slice of cake. I pretended not to see him (my back was turned) and I made an off-handed remark about staying away from the cake because the LSD was in the frosting. As I said that I turned around to see him with a big bite of cake in his mouth and nearly all of the slice gone from his plate.

He had a deer-in-the-headlights look on his face and I decided to play it for all its worth. I acted horrified/mortified and asked him how much he had eaten. Several people standing around immediately picked up on the joke and started playing along.

To make a long story short, we convinced him that he had ingested a fair amount of LSD and he became quite sure that he was "tripping." It was hilarious lesson in the power of suggestion.

This was the reason that I remarked, "You only thought that you were husslucinating." Because I've seen it happen.

I'm always still in trouble again

I handed in school papers handwritten or from a typewriter (still have it). I grew up with the ugly tupperware, copper AND cast iron. I played outside, my dad's minivan had that wooden paneling and I do remember the early nineties car. I didn't get a computer until 2009, I got my first phone in 2013 and I still don't have cable tv. Yeah...I really don't fit that Milennial mode.

It was. I was there. There were isolated pockets of color here and there, but most of the world was black and white.

                      Don't call it a comeback. It's a riposte.

Were you accident prone, or were you like a friend of mine that kept buying cheap 4th hand cars that fell apart within a short time after purchase?
