We should be friendly with them as much as possible, but not let them run all over us. Have a line in the sand. That is what diplomacy is all about. Don't be a door mat, but don't be the instigator either.
The intelligence community doesn’t trust Trump to investigate the Russian hacking. Trump has constantly defended Russia and Putin, a stated enemy of the USA, so it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that he is going to do everything in his power to bury the investigation. But he must not be allowed to.“He felt that his whole life was a kind of dream and he sometimes wondered whose it was and whether they were enjoying it.” - Douglas Adams.

Yet they -and you - were more than happy for Clinton to hold office, and run for President. I consider the allegations of corruption against Clinton at least as credible as your allegations about Trump. So you're offering us a double standard.
He's the elected President, so they don't really get to choose. You're just sore because you bought the propaganda, and don't like him. You don't like Trump because he has made you look foolish. I get that. It's time to get over it. You're just making yourself look more foolish. How the U.S. Hobbled Its Hacking Case.. - January, 6,2017
"Sometimes, in his covert influence campaign against America, Vladimir Putin need do nothing but sit back and chuckle mirthlessly while U.S. officials shoot themselves in the foot. Such was the case last week when the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI released a technical exposé of Russia’s hacking that industry experts are slamming as worse than useless..."

The very fact that he is cautious in his rapprochement with Russia demonstrates he has nothing to fear. Even more so, the Russians are very fearful of Trump - they see him as unpredictable...an unknown,,,

Big baby wants to argue by assertion, huh? Can't provide sources for your own claims? We are expected to accept this stuff just on your say so?

This is completely in tune with what we already know about Trump's lewd bragging about using fame for crude sexual assaults on women.

The man's an immoral buffoon. You'd better get used to these stories...they're clearly going to continue until such time as Trump's impeached.“He felt that his whole life was a kind of dream and he sometimes wondered whose it was and whether they were enjoying it.” - Douglas Adams.

The report has already been debunked as fake news.
http://www.breitbart.com/big-governm...rgeting-trump/
Even CNN itself quietly admitted that the memos have not actually been verified. This is a quote from CNN: "At this point, CNN is not reporting on details of the memos, as it has not independently corroborated the specific allegations."
Actually, the memos have been kicking around for six-months, but nobody would touch them because they couldn't be corroborated. One of the key claims that Trump and Cohen his attorney visited Russia has been explicitly refuted because Cohen was visiting his son's college at the time.
