Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh...
Have a heart-on collision with God
    Shalom!

“But when Jesus heard about it he said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.” (John 11:4, NLT)

Jesus cleared the way for Lazarus’ complete death experience and his dramatic comeback even before he was dead. Stop and consider what that means to you. It probably doesn’t mean you’ll have a complete death experience and a dramatic comeback. But it does mean as you are reading this Jesus is already at work preparing a blessing for you to be used at a later date. That may seem a bit farfetched so if it does then here it is again for you to consider, “Lazarus’ sickness WILL NOT end in death.”

I know you’re not Lazarus and neither am I but that doesn’t mean Jesus loves and and values our friendship and wellbeing any less than his love and friendship wtih Lazarus. One thing has come to be apparent to me over the years is if all Jesus is to you or anyone is a Savior then your relationship with him has no depth or intimacy. Consider this... “Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.” (John 10:9–11, NLT)

If you look closely enough you’ll not find Lazarus’ name anywhere in those 60 words. Therefore if you have allowed Jesus to shepherd you then you can feel safe and secure in not only finding the best God has to offer (good pastures) but also a rich and satisying life (perhaps not financially) but spiritually. And I have discovered through trial and error that when you look for God’s richest blessings in your heart (spirit) they’ll begin spilling over into all aspects of your life. Then suddenly where there was conflict there will be Peace, where there was darkness there will be Light, where there was hatred and appathy there will be Love, where there was sadness there will be Joy, where there was hopelessness there will be Hope.

God doesn’t want a head-on collison with you, God wants a heart-on collision with you!

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”**

    GRACE and PEACE,
    Gary
