Um, we do have other options. Maybe an avatar day where we all use avatars in his honor (CP, you HAVE to explain in your sig if you opt for a trash can)?
I think a memorial day is a fine idea.

Re: To The (We will miss you) Curtmudgeon
So...we lost Curt one year ago yesterday. Has it really been that long? I still have a screenshot of him logged in on October 30th--he was still listed under the "visitors in the last day" section.
I really miss him. I'm so glad I got to hang out with him for a few days--I got to ride shotgun with him, and just chat, on the way to and from Dave and Buster's last summer. What a joy that was then--and what an incredible honor it became!
I found myself really missing Curt this week. Theologyweb has lots of awesome people, but it's just not the same without Curt.Okay, I finally have a blog.

Wish I could have been here while he was around. I have gone through some of the old threads, and his were always good to read.

Re: To The (We will miss you) Curtmudgeon
I'm so sorry I've been away so long. For whatever reason I have been remiss in keeping in touch with all the wonderful friends Curt made on T-Web and it breaks my heart. Seeing that there were new posts this month - a full 3 1/2 years after he went Home amazes me.
To catch everyone up who's interested - I've been busy keeping my step-daughter's son every day. He'll be 3 in June and is quite the little entertainer (I've been daycare for him since he was 6 months old!). He keeps me laughing even when I'm frustrated or upset with him. We found out he was joining our family between burying my first grandbaby (Aura) and getting word about Curt's passing. So he has been a healing balm to my heart. Heather, my daughter & Curt's niece (and mother of our precious angel Aura) now has another daughter who will be 2 in July. She's as healthy as any toddler should be. Her smile is simply amazing - her eyes start before her mouth catches up. And such an imp. We get to Texas at least once a year to see her - but kids grow so fast at this stage of their lives and it kills me to miss all the "growing up phases" she is putting her mommy through. My step-son married a young woman last April whom we adore. She had a little girl when they met, so he was an "instant daddy". All our initial concerns about his maturity level have been put to rest as he is not only a wonderful husband and provider, but the best daddy any little girl could ever ask for.
No one can ever replace Curt and Aura. And we miss them every day of our lives. But the Great Healer has provided all of us with abundant gifts to help us move forward until that day when we are all reunited. I wish I was the great communicator Curt was - he had such a gift for speaking/writing. He was only 18 months away from getting his Master's degree in Christian study when God called him home - a degree which he hoped to use in either teaching or writing. I will miss proof-reading his homework assignments most, because even though half the time I didn't understand a thing he was talking about it was always a good read. Well maybe I'll miss that 2nd after his amazing bear-hugs. He put his entire heart and soul into hugging - no one can compare (IMHO).
Thank you for your continued love for Curt. And please forgive me for being absent for so very long. I will try not to stay away so long in the future - there is so much on T-Web that I have wanted to check out. And a daily refresher on God's love won't hurt me either.
God bless you all.
