2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

In the above verse, in Greek, there is a definite article before "lie" - so it is "that they should believe the lie."

My question is, does anyone care to suggest what lie he is speaking about?

I have my own interpretation of this passage, which I don't mind sharing, but I am wondering if anyone else has an interpretation.
