Anyone planning to run a D&D 3.5 campaign?

[Control Water, Water Breathing and Water Walk. At least Dumdum will possibly need a way to get up next to it. Might be useful to avoid drowning. For that matter, we may even prefer a wand of water walk.]

[I thought maybe an extra enervation instead of the dimension door, we have Maverick who can use teleport and dimension door as his 4th and 5th level domain spells, I don't think we're going to need to teleport 4 times in one day, since these jobs today are all within Chimney so we can get there on foot...]

[Dimension door is more for my own personal "I need to get out (or in) range of this right now" than party usage. I can change it if you'd like, though.]

Birel directs the party to an outgoing keelboat. It has a crew of ten and a company of thirty soldiers on board. They are happy to see the party and welcome them aboard.

"Then let us depart, everyone keep a sharp watch for them. How far is it?"


Assuming we're off, Aiden will stand at the front of the boat, watching for any sign of the creatures, casting mage armour on himself when they approach the last place the creatures were seen

Spot: take ten+14=24, +3=27 if in shadowy light.

Aiden is joined on his watch by a minimum of five soldiers at all times. There is also one dedicated crew member keeping watch from the top of the mast. Each soldier is equipped with leather armor, crossbow, and longspear. Several soldiers and crewmen man the oars. The party is invited to pitch in.

During the day, the boat doesn't pass any other river traffic.

The soldier standing next to you replies "We don't know. The monsters move around, so we have to keep a sharp lookout."

The soldiers also have short swords. "Just in case we're swallowed, we can cut our way out."

"I wasn't aware that Elasmosauruses did that," replies Aiden, raising an eyebrow, then casts a charge of Mage armor on himself. "Just to be sure, there are two of them, or how many?"
