If you flick your mouse into any of the corners, you can do a pre-determined task. First go to Pref
Attachment 74098
Then Expose & Spaces - Select Expose and there you can set your hot corners (active corners)
Attachment 74099
You can see with mine that I get my Expose by flicking to the bottom right

Sweet deal. This is gonna come in handy. Thanks Diz. I'll have to fiddle around with this entire app as well.

What browser would you guys recommend? Safari, Firefox, or Chrome?

Re: I am now a mac user...and need some help
I like Safari the best overall, but that's probably a minority opinion. It's quick and doesn't get in the way.
Firefox is much better on the Mac since version 3, but not as fast as Safari in my experience. However, if you were using Firefox with a decent plug-in set, you're pretty much going to want to keep with that, I imagine.
I haven't used Chrome for Mac yet. Think I might go grab it.
Other options are Opera and Camino. I switched back to Opera from FF on the PC and I love it.

Re: I am now a mac user...and need some help
I tend to follow the advice of the high priest of our local cult chapter which is, if there is a solution by Apple, use that first. So I stick with Safari. Mozilla ticked me off as an organization for a position that they took so that I decided that they would no longer be my primary browser when there was a viable alternative. At work I use Firefox as IE is not a viable alternative IMHO. And using Safari at work might be pushing it with IT as they don't like us downloading new programs, but they were already familiar with Firefox.

I use Firefox because there are particular addons I like. If this were not the case, I would use Safari.

Re: I am now a mac user...and need some help
I'm liking Safari so far a lot.
Now I'm going through this tutorial on QuickTime Player, but have a couple problems:
.Open QuickTime Player from the Dock or in the Applications folder. QuickTime Player displays a player window. If you're connected to the Internet, the player displays the QuickTime Content Guide, featuring some of the best QuickTime content on the web
None of this happens. I just got the menu at the top. A window doesn't open until I actually open a media file.
This A/V Controls doesn't appear in any menu.f you'd like to adjust the details of sound or playback, choose Show A/V Controls from the Window menu. In the A/V Controls window, use the Audio section sliders to adjust the volume, bass, treble, and balance; use the Playback section sliders to control the jog shuttle direction and playback speed (you can't control streaming content playback).
Same as above, although I probably won't use this feature. But it worries me that it doesn't even show up like it's supposed to.Want to find entertainment online? From the Window menu, choose Show Content Guide to display the QuickTime Content Guide, a frequently updated listing of some of the best QuickTime content on the web."Everybody wants to go to heaven.
