Re: Should two dating christians kiss?
The canons of the Church are authoritative, so much so that it was the Church that wrote and then established the canon of what Scripture IS... For it is the Church that is the ground and pillar of Truth, and not Scripture...
Your reading of Scripture makes God who IS Love into the God of Hatred for His enemies,
the very ones whom He made into His enemies
so that He could hate them and torment them for eternity...
A god who would do that is a demon...
And THAT is precisely the reason that it is the Church, and not the Scriptures,
that is recorded in Scripture
as the ground and pillar of Truth,
against which the gates of hell shall not prevail...
Lord have Mercy!

Hmm.....John 14:6 says otherwise. Methinks the tail is wagging the dog in Byzantium. Perhaps that's why it was uprooted. Scripture is the responsability of The Author, and He has stated repeatedly and clearly how much He values His word and how He deals with those that presume to meddle with it.

14:6
Jesus is saying unto him,
"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life:
no man is coming unto the Father, but by Me."
The Church is the Body of Christ Who is Her Head...
Scripture is from, for and to this Body of Christ...
Unless you are saying that Christ's Body is not Christ...
And that words on paper ARE Christ...

Re: Should two dating christians kiss?
The Apostles were all members of the Body of Christ, which the Bible tells us IS the Church... And God the Father gave Christ to be Head over His Body, which Scripture also records... And the Bible also records that the Church is the Ground and the Pillar of the Truth, for the Church IS Christ in His Body... ALL the authors of Scripture [NT] were MEMBERS of the Body of Christ... So that we are forced by Scripture to conclude that:
1. The Church WROTE the NT Bible...
2. The Church established the Canon of Scripture...
3. The Church IS Christ in the Covenant of His Body and Blood on earth...
4. The Church that wrote the Bible knows it meaning...
And YOUR Church is not THE Church that WROTE the Scripture you THINK you understand...
I do not place the canons of the Church above the Bible...
And I DO place Christ above the Bible...
It is Christ in His Body on earth that wrote the Bible...
And canonized the Bible...
And interprets the Bible...
When you insist on your OWN interpretation of the Bible that is outside the Body of Christ that wrote and canonized the Bible, you are placing your SELF above Christ...
