Yes, and...? This shows that the leftists don't use violence against political opponents exactly how? Presumably they supported those rallies, since they were against Trump. If anything, it is evidence that the source of the violence is leftists attacking people who have other political values.

      1. Steve Bannon is a complete red herring. He was not present at Berkley, is not involved in Milo's 'Dangerous Faggot' tour.

      2. Whoever the agitators where, they engaged in violence and destruction of public and private property to stop university students and guests from hearing an invited speaker.

      3. You above admit that there is politically motivated violence in the USA.

      4. Are you attempting to imply that it's somehow Trump's fault that leftists agitators violently demonstrated?

Milo is not a part of the Administration, so protests directed against hi simply show that there are people out there that can't cope with being called out publicly on their politics. The immigration issue is not anything that removes the rights of US Citizens.

Bottom line: too many on the left are willing to violently overthrow the system if they don't get their way.

Nice imagination. How it actually goes:

Liberal: "There are cultures that have had polygamous marriages, and cultures that have had a wide variety of third-gender and same sex marriages. This is why the American Anthropological society issued their statement that cultures throughout history have successfully had all sorts of types of marriage and that anthropology provides no reason whatsoever to be against same-sex marriage. The English word "marriage" is only a few centuries old, and words change in meaning all the time. In our own culture we've seen the notion of "marriage" change in the 20th century as we introduced the possibilities of interracial marriage and of divorce."
Mad Gerbil: "I'm not listening! I don't want to hear your 'information' or 'facts'! I want to hate gays! They're bad. Same sex marriage is bad! Waaaah!"

Refugee: "Hi, my husband was killed in the civil war that has engulfed our country, my 4 year old girl and I have fled the country carrying what we could on our backs. Can we have food and shelter in your country? I can work for a living."
Liberal: "We're prepared to help you settle in and work here, but first we're going to run a whole host of background checks on you that are going to take 1-2 years, sorry about that."

No they didn't. Where I live (NOT a Muslim country) there were people wearing 'Osama Bin Laden' T-shirts, complete with a screen-print of the burning Twin towers. No loca called them out, or even said that it was wrong. There was more of a sense that America had got what it deserved.

No they're not. Trump got elected on a platform of addressing immigration in America. There are plenty of political anti-immigration movements across Europe that are getting increasing support.

The women’s marches were protesting the perceived threats against reproductive, civil and human rights by the right-wing Trump Administration...and they may well become a regular feature. They were among the largest protests in US history and they were largely peaceful. There were no arrests in the main centres.

              1. Steve Bannon is a complete red herring. He was not present at Berkley, is not involved in Milo's 'Dangerous Faggot' tour.

Steve Bannon and Milo Yiannopoulos are both high profile Alt-Right proponents whose political stance is repellent to many in the US...not just members of the Left. It was this that was being peacefully protested at Berkeley before, by all accounts, it was taken over by approx 150 violent masked agitators determined to disrupt it. Some have suggested that they emanated from the Alt-Right itself.

“The university blamed "150 masked agitators" for the unrest, saying they had come to campus to disturb an otherwise peaceful protest”

That’s your “bottom line” Max but, like Trump himself, with his ‘alternate facts', it’s not substantiated by the facts...although no doubt you will dredge up some violent episodes and try to claim them as typical..

wow, you just don't realize that everything bad you think about Christian values, you can triple for Muslim Values. And you want to give them a hug and welcome them into your home. They would kill you for being gay, Starlight. They would not make you a wedding cake or let you go to their church. They would not even let you have a job. They would throw you in prison and kill you. Just for being gay.

So you spit on Christians and call them over-reacting homophobes and islamaphobes, and turn around and welcome a muslim who hates what you are so badly they would kill you.

Remind me again? Are Muslims for or against abortion in general? I wouldn't mind some support in getting rid of that barbarious law.

I should point out that Steven Crowder did the whole gay wedding cake from a Muslim bakery thing. He was unsuccessful in getting one.

Something I realized quite awhile ago is that radical Muslims are going to wipe out liberals long before they begin to bother me.

Let's check Muslim values against Liberal Values:

Women's Rights - Forced marriage, covered head to toe, can't drive or vote, obey their husbands, beating wives is good manners.

Abortion - Kill anyone who does it.

                              Homosexuality - Kill them all.

Gay Marriage - Impossible, they kill gays before they can even think about getting married.

                              Atheists - Kill them.

Other religions - Either make them pay a protection fee, or kill them.

                              Drinking - Outlawed.

                              Drugs - Kill them.

                              Equality - No. Just no.

Guns - Gotta have em, how else will they kill all the gays?

Riots in the street - Yeah buddy!

Freedom of Speech - Nope. Kill them all. Especially if they mention Mohammad or draw him.

                                Do you remember 9/11?
Do you remember staring helplessly at the screen while thousands perished on live T.V.?

                                I do.

My aim here isn't to get overly dramatic but I have to wonder "How many people do they have to kill before some 'phobia' is reasonable, in your opinion?"
Marathon bombers, Pulse nightclub, these are just a few in recent memory - at what point do you think it is reasonable to be a little bit on edge?

I read where liberals on this forum get upset about Christian opposition to gay marriage - while at the same time defending the faith that motivated a young man to walk into a night club and gun down 50 homosexuals. We're importing people who throw gays off buildings but you're upset I use the word 'faggot'? I read where liberals are upset about women's rights - claiming Trump is going to end suffrage - while we important women and girls who've had their lady bits scraped off with clamshells - while women are forced to walk around in black sheets.

Given that I fail to see how I'm the dangerous one - how I'm the oppressor - how my views are a threat to freedom.
I don't expect you to explain any of that, in fact, please don't try.
I'm too bewildered by this whole issue.
9/11 was a tragedy in more ways than one. Although there were just a few attackers, their tactics amplified their actions to such a huge extent that it just blew our minds. It turned the world upside-down and the politicians went into lash out in revenge mode. They probably had to do something spectacular to satisfy public opinion but in hindsight it might have been better to try to get to grips with the attacker’s motivation and look seriously at the underlying grievances and attempt to address the injustice being felt by the Arab/Muslim population. It is a hugely difficult problem, I know, but these things must be done unless we are prepared to live with endless wars. In other words, we should work towards turning our enemies into our friends. That, of course, takes a good deal of critical self-examination so that we might begin to look like the sort of people that they would want to be friendly towards.
